Family Tree: the above William Bladen heads
up the Derbyshire/Staffs/Shropshire Bladen Tree, born 1585-1663. William was born in Egginton, Derbyshire.
Whilst it is doubtful that he personally went to America as he was Mayor of Dublin and died there, it is possible that his
children/descendants did. The next article shows a continuation spanning 26 years of the Bladen/Hubbards; both families
appearing to move away from New England to the south by the 1660s.
1661 Death of a William Blayden, New Haven Connecticut (this
William was born about 1641. (A Genealogicial Dictionary of the First Settlers in New England before 1692, vol 1, pp. 198-209).
1663 (article not dated itself, but can be dated from the
reference in the next item ref Joseph Blayton: Edmund Hubbard of Hingham in N.E. m. Sarah
widow of Rev John Lyford who had children Rev. Obadiah and Modecai L. the last named made Hubbard his guardian who appointed
William Bladen, alderman of Dublin and John Fisher of the same place attorneys to sell a lease at Leballeglish Co. Armagh.

arrived in Maryland in the Spring of 1692 a few weeks after his 19th birthday. Held some 14 posts, the last one being Principal
